For nearly five decades, our banking story has been written alongside the people of Ardmore.

The History of Citizens Bank and Trust
The story of Citizens Bank and Trust began on September 18, 1978, when we first opened our doors in the Little Building on West Main Street. From that very first day, our purpose was simple: to serve Ardmore with dependable banking and a personal touch. By 1979, we had moved into our current location on North Commerce Street, where our community roots grew even deeper.
Over the years, our journey has been marked by steady growth and strong connections. We reopened our downtown location in 1984, converted to a state federal reserve bank in 1991, and soon after expanded into surrounding neighborhoods with branches in Dickson and inside the Ardmore Walmart Supercenter. By 1997, we proudly introduced our trust department, completing our transformation into Citizens Bank and Trust Company.
What started as a small-town bank has grown into a reliable financial partner with multiple branches and ATMs throughout Ardmore. But through every change and milestone, our focus has remained the same: delivering service with integrity, supporting local families and businesses, and building trust that lasts for generations.
Continuing Our Story in Ardmore and Beyond
From our first branch on Main Street to today’s trusted network, our story is still unfolding. Each chapter has been shaped by the people we proudly serve, and the future will be no different. Ardmore will always be at the heart of everything we do.
